Treadmills are a favorite for indoor walking and running. They come
in different sizes, brand names and may range from under a hundred
dollars to a few thousand. The choices are unlimited. How do you
determine which treadmill is right for you?
The main focus of your selection should include purchasing a high
quality treadmill that meets your fitness needs and is within your

- Cushioning: Cushioning helps protects your joints and muscles
from strenuous impact. Moderate cushioning is ideal. Too much or
to little cushioning can cause sore muscles or injuries. All
treadmill manufacturers have cushioning to lessen the impact but
try the treadmill and choose one that provides you with the most
